Natural Language

You can also @mention SitRep with natural language questions:

  • @SitRep who knows about the auth service?
  • @SitRep what happened with the deploy?
  • @SitRep what did Sarah work on today?

Opting Out

Any team member can DM SitRep "opt out" to be excluded from all reports. DM "opt in" to reverse this. Opt-out takes effect immediately.

Report Feedback

Every report includes feedback buttons:

  • 👍 — Accurate and useful
  • 😬 — Too far / uncomfortable
  • 🎯 — Spot on
  • ❌ — Inaccurate

Feedback calibrates future reports for your workspace.

Common Issues

"No channels configured"

SitRep needs at least one monitored channel to generate reports. Open the App Home or run /sitrep settings to select channels. If you've just installed, the onboarding flow will guide you through this.

"Report is empty or thin"

If a report has little content, check that:

  • The monitored channels have recent activity (within the report's time window).
  • SitRep has been added to the channels it needs to read. Run /sitrep rescan to refresh.
  • Alert channels actually have bot messages. SitRep classifies channels by bot-to-human message ratio.

"SitRep isn't responding"

SitRep runs on Cloudflare Workers and responds via HTTP, not Socket Mode. If it stops responding, check that the app is still installed in your workspace. If the issue persists, contact us.
